Rene is survived by: wife Zoila; son Alex Ayala (Jessica); stepdaughters, Yolanda Sanroman and Glenda Bozett (David); stepgrandchildren, Marcelo, Sofia, Sergio, Allison and Lynelle; and siblings, Lillian, Luisa, Berta, Rigo, Martin and Irma.
