With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Leo Baumann (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on February 11, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Baumann and Catherine Baumann; his in-laws, Gerald and Kathleen Mowery; his brother James Baumann; his daughter Nikki Baumann Hester; and his grandchildren, Vince Hackney, Max Baumann, Bradley Hester and Kathleen Swift.
He is survived by: his significant other Kathleen Mowery Baumann; his children, Kathi Whisler (David), Vicki Rush (Kevin), Lori Yahner (Jim), Marci Ryan, Cindi Hackney (Charles), Mark Baumann (Kathy), Greg Baumann (Kim) and Jeff Baumann; and his sisters, Annie Ames and Susan Hochanadel. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, his family.
