He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hixson and Beverly Bennett Hixson; his brother Gary Hixson; and his granddaughter Kaitlynn Hixson. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Falkenstein Hixson; his children, Greg Hixson (Stephanie) and Chris Hixson; his grandchildren, Gregory Hixson (Haley), Kaydence Hixson and Adara Hixson; and his brother Rick Hixson (Jackie) of Albany. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
