Robert F. Hoersdig Jr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert F. Hoersdig Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert F. Hoersdig Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Hoersdig Sr. and Ruth Ann Strobel; his brothers, Steven Hoersdig and Eugene Dorman; his grandson Richard Griffin; and his grandparents, Dorothy and Dolphie White.

He is survived by: his children, Amy Rebecca Hoersdig, Lori Seymour (Kelly), Rob Hoersdig (Amy), Jeff Hoersdig (Kelly), Gabe Griffin, Chad Griffin and Justin Griffin (Leisha); his grandchildren, Chris, Diona, Sarah, Victoria, Emma, Jade, Chloe, Sophie, Nic, Megan, Jovian and Finley; his great grandchildren, Avery, Leia, Leland and Gwendolyn; his sisters, Natalie Walden and Virginia Marshall; and his sister-in-law Karen Dorman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the University Baptist Church (50 W Lane Ave, Columbus, OH 43201). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the Union Cemetery (3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202).
