He was predeceased by: his mother Karen R. Smalls; his grandfather Emanuel Smalls; his stepfather James Davenport Jr.; and his uncle Emanuel Smalls Jr.. He is survived by: his father Rodney S. Sherrod (Rhonda); his wife Alexis Sherrod; his children, Samaj Sherrod and Kai Sherrod; his in-laws, Anita Dickson and Aaron Dickson Sr.; his grandparents, Josephine Smalls, Roy and Marian Sherrod; his siblings, Charles Davenport (CJ), James Davenport III, Chuck Brown, Arquan Lockett Sr., Aaron Dickson Jr., Khloe Sherrod, Desiree Hawkins (Michael) and Aijah Lockett; his aunts and uncles, Mark Smalls, Roy Sherrod, Robin Sherrod, Leya Sherrod and Keesha Smalls; and his godchildren, Brenda (BJ), Arquan Lockett Jr. (AJ) and Kaila Riley. He is also survived by loving family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Antrim Park (5800 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43085). He later worked for Just Electric, where he enjoyed his time until the onset of the pandemic.
