He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean M. Pitzer and Kenneth S. Pitzer; his wife Martha Ann Seares Pitzer; and his sister Ann E. Pitzer of La Jolla, CA.. He is survived by: his children, Susan (Willi) of Carlisle, PA, Kenneth (Kim) of Pacific Grove, CA and David (Mary Lynn) of Dublin, OH; his grandchildren, Melanie, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Joy and Noah Pitzer; and his brother John S. Pitzer (Claire) of Arlington, VA. He is also survived by his family, friends.
