He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Barnhart and Allie Mae Barnhart (Jackson); and his siblings, Johnny Edward Barnhart Jr., Betty White, Tina "Pinkie" Barnhart and Alice Tine Barnhart.

He is survived by: his sons, Kevin L. Barnhart and Michael B. Barnhart. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
