He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Marcum; and his daughter Orlena Mullins Rose. He is survived by: his pet Belle; his children, Kathy Mullins Arrowood (Jim), Patricia Marcum, Brian Marcum (Trish) and Teresa Miller (Jim); and his brother Hiram Marcum (Janet). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
