She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Elizabeth; her siblings' children, Carolina, Erika, August, Greg, Terrie and Lilly; her husband Joe Cole; her mother Opal Marie Underwood; her daughter Kellie Grant; her granddaughters, Alizabeth Tibbitts and Roxie Grant; her siblings, Linda Copin, Tina Holder (Dunn), Michael Crabtree (Clayton) and George Crabtree (Kenansville); Joe.
From there, she went on to teach second grade at Kimball Elementary until retiring in 2019 and kept subbing until Covid started.
