He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Cox and Sarah Elizabeth Cox; his sisters, Elizabeth Ann Jamison and Rebecca Sue McCorkle; his brother-in-law Harry Buettner; and his children-in-law, Carolyn Bentley and Jim Everett.
He is survived by: his wife Joann; his stepchildren, Terry Bentley (Shari), Randy Bentley, Brian Bentley (Michelle), Lori Everett, Jeff Bentley (Lisa) and Scott Bentley (Julie); his brother-in-law Gerald McKorkle; and his siblings, Jo Ann Ehermantraut (Jack), Linda Buettner, Donald Cox (Paula) and Kathy Dain (Steve). He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
