He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Jett and Donnabell Jett; his brother Terry Jett; his in-law Bill Grimes (Wilda); and his siblings-in-law, Cheri, Bill Grimes, John Bowers and Jimmy Carter.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Grimes; his sons, Eric, Adam and Andy; and his siblings, Donna Bowers of Marion, Tony (Edna) of Shepherdsville and Vicky Carter. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and a great grandchild.
