He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul M. Murphy and Phyllis K. Frye; and his siblings, Vicki E. Murphy and Daniel M. Murphy. He is survived by: his brother Paul Steven Murphy; his stepsiblings, John Frye and Lynne Lieberman; and his children, Brittany Parsonson (Matthew), Vance B. Murphy II (Kathryn Dirks), Moriah Murphy, Elijah Murphy (John Parker) and Emma Murphy. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
