He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W., Sr. and Marie Fairchild (Lawler); and his brother Msgr. He is survived by: his wife Jean Fairchild (Kohar); his children, Stephen Fairchild (Janice), Monica Samuelson (Ivan) and Susan Stehle (Erich); his grandchildren, Alex Fairchild (Julianna), Megan Hargraves (Jacob), Mark Fairchild and Ashley Samuelson (Zack Donatelli); his brother James Fairchild (Linda); and his sister-in-law Elaine Fairchild. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
