He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hayes (Kopp); his children, Michelle Widanka (Randy), Florence Hayes (Clovie Pounders) and William Hayes (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jacob (Malaysha Huston), Daniel (JoBeth Daniels), Brian, Luke Widanka, Phoenix Hayes (Chris), Darlene Hayes, Tiernan Pounders, Emily Emch and Sara Hayes; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Widanka, Malik and Elli Huston; his brother Mike Hayes (Terri); his goddaughter Gloria Sauerwein; Alex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
