He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Douglas and Clyde Dalton; his brother Tom; and his nephew Franklin Walker. He is survived by: his wife Alberta Douglas (Tony); his siblings, Belva Douglas-Carter (Stephen), Carmen Gray, Andrea Douglas, Mike and Tim Dalton; his children, Kevin Gray, Richard (Dian), Christopher Byrd (Shelly), Linda, Lynn Gray, Jacqueline Gray-Woodfolk (Doremius) and Billie Douglas-Foster (Robert); and his grandchildren, Kevin, Redeem, Darrick, Devonte Gray, Zaki Yemi, Jason, Justin Harris, Christopher Byrd Jr., Christian Byrd, Richard Byrd IV, Hunter, Luke, Ethan Walls, Sirdiria, Latasha Gray, Nechele Smith, Janiyah Foster, Chania, Khylah and Lyric Byrd. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
