William Nye Obituary
We bid farewell to William Nye (Columbus, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 2, 2026 at the age of 89. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Nye and Mary Nye; his son Brian Nye; and his siblings, Ben and Maryanne Young.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Bill Nye Jr., Dan Nye (Wendy) and Kathy Trace (Mark); his siblings, Tom Nye (Melanie) and Christine Schleicher (Geoff); and his grandchildren, Bryan, Daniel, Betsy, Abby, Tony and Kelly. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Bill continued to donate blood himself at the local Red Cross, and he helped cancer patients whenever called upon with over 100 apheresis donations.
