He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hicks and Clifford Hicks (Simmons); his wife Patricia Hicks (Stewart); and his siblings, George Hicks Jr., Charles James Hicks, Roy Lee Hicks, Catherine Hicks, Rosetta Hicks, Ola Hicks (Gather), Mattie Hicks (White) and Darlene Hicks (Clark).
He is survived by: his children, Brian and Leslie; his grandchildren, Clarese Hicks, Marquisten Hicks, Daejan Hicks, Daemon Greason, Dex Terra Greason, Michael William Greason, Elijah Greason and Emmanuel Greason; and his brothers, Charles Lewis Hicks, Lonnie Hicks (Carol) and Les Brian Hicks (Della). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
