He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar R. Garland Sr. and Reba C. Garland (Haynes); his grandson Brandon; and his brothers, Michael Stachel, William "Bill" Stachel and Ernest Wayne Garland.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Garland (Miller); his sons, Eric Garland (Trudy) and Steven Garland (Denise); his stepchildren, Melinda Fisher (George Lumpp), Scott Bacon (Cindy) and Brian Bacon (Sarah Beth); his siblings, Randy Stachel (Mary), Russ Stachel (Donna), Edna Louise Karla (Ronnie) and Carla Rugg (Geroge); and his grandchildren, Brittney Brevitz (Larry), Madison Garland, Evan Garland, Joshua Fisher, Sarah Brenna, Scott Bacon, Steven Bacon and Amber Bacon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Halverson Funeral Home (476 W Main St, Somerset, PA 15501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
