He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hicks and Theresa Hicks (Porter); his stepfather Malcomb Larken; his daughter Suzannah Desmond; and his siblings, George, Leslie, John, William, Charley Hicks, Nathley Kibley, Eleanor Hurley and Ruth Bachelor.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Hicks (McDaniel); his children, Michelle Allen (Mike) of Laconia, NH and Chris Hicks Sr. (Paula) of Conneaut; his grandchildren, Chris Hicks Jr., Andy Hicks, Tanya Hicks, Samantha Hicks, Aaron Desmond and Morgan Desmond; and his great grandchildren, Kacey Claire, Haven and Nova Hicks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
