It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances C. Sroufe of Continental, Ohio, who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Craine and Alnora Evelyn Craine Jr. (Dangler); her son Gerald Dean Sroufe; and her siblings, Charles E. Craine (Arminta), John E. Craine (Caroline), Glenn R. Craine (Virginia), Melvin Leroy Craine and Margaret Gamble (Bill).
She is survived by: her husband William Franklin Sroufe; her children, Randy Sroufe (Laura) of Defiance, Tonia Dunifon (Keith) of Van Wert and Rod Sroufe (Tonya) of Van Wert; and her brother Robert Craine (Sue) of Troy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heitmeyer Funeral Home - Continental (207 W Rice St, Continental, OH 45831). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
