He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Scott and Pauline Scott (Ranes); and his siblings, Robert Scott (Cewilla), Chuck Scott (Dinah), Darrold Scott (Mae), Frank Scott (Sharon), Mary Lucille Axson (Edward), Ellen Shaw (Leroy), Maggie Carpenter (Jim), Esther Grubb (Hank), Florence Collins (Doug), Mina Scott, Flossie Chapman (Rhitt), Violet Rupert (Dewey) and Martha Syndram (Bob).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Scott (Donna) of Ottawa and Michael Scott (Tammy) of Continental; his grandchildren, Justin Scott, Jared Scott (Melissa) and Danielle Wright (Isaac); his great grandchildren, Griffin Scott, Jackson Scott and Myles Scott; and his brother Richard Scott (Sandy) of Payne.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heitmeyer Funeral Home (207 W Rice St, Continental, OH 45831). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to The Meadow of Ottawa: Memory Care Unit, Putnam County Hospice or Kalida Family Outreach Center.
