She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Sr. Cass and Henrietta Cass (Geren); her husband Donald R. Thomas; her son David Charles Thomas; and her siblings, Erma Cunningham (Orville), Willard Cass, Jr. (Doris), Donna Shafer (Raymond), Carl Cass (Phyllis), Edward Cass and Florence Elaine Shellenbarger (Clifford).

She is survived by: her children, Mark Alan Thomas, Rachel Renae Mingus and Dorothy Jean Thomas; her grandson Tim Heishman of Continental; her brothers, Robert Cass (Gloria) of Ayersville and Richard Cass of Leipsic; and her sisters-in-law, Alvera Cass of Miller City and Thelma Thomas of Ft. Wayne. She is also survived by five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Continental or Putnam County District Library, Continental Branch.
