He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlee Wayne Sponseller and Mary Marie Sponseller (Edwards); his former wife Susan; and his sister Jodelle Sponseller. He is survived by: his wife Linda S. Sponseller of Cortland; his daughters, Bonnie Sponseller (Aaron Scofield) of Champion and Brittany Schwab (Jason) of Abilene, TX; his stepchildren, Aaron Poturica (Sabrina Stein) of Austintown and Amanda Blose (Chris Howser) of Champion; his siblings, Alan Sponseller (Debra Dugan) of Broadview Heights, OH, Ray Sponseller (Joyce) of Bristolville and Mary Jeanne Hutchison of Cortland; his grandchildren, Annabella, Lucien and Jack; his aunt Carole Sponseller; and his sisters-in-law, Kimberly Molek, Lee Ann Shelton (Fred), Denyse McCurdy (Brett) and Deborah Bartlett. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home (533 N Park Ave, Warren, OH 44481). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
