We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2024, at the age of 81, Flora Bonner of Cortland, Ohio, born in Luverne, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dud Nelson Canty and Louise Canty-Defoor; her son Dr. Shawn Bonner; and her siblings, Abdul Kareem Jabbar, Gerald Canty (Jerry), Fannie Parks and Juanita Farmer.

She is survived by : her husband Hiram Sanford Bonner, Sr. of Cortland; her children, Hiram Bonner, Jr. (Daphne) of Niles, Aaron Bonner (Nicole) of Normal, Illinois and Kecia Reeves (Ron) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and her sisters, Betty Jean Canty of Columbia, Patricia Canty of Columbia and Mary Helen Canty of Warren, Ohio. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
