She was predeceased by: her parents, John Muresan and Maria Arva Muresan; her husband David Chapin; and her siblings, John Jr., Aurel, George, Peter Muresan, Anna Muresan, Aurelia Ross, Mary Spala, Celia McGinty, Georgene Muresan, Lena Shipman, Virginia Whitacre and Madeline Chronister.

She is survived by: her children, Susan, Connor, Douglas Chapin (Juliet), Sandi Knepp (John) and Darrin Chapin (Sevasti Tripoulas); and her grandchildren, Kelly, Kerry, Khristen, Michael, Patrick, Jackie, Debi, Tyler, Zachary, Ryan, Justin, Nadia, Dylan, Logan and Kaitlynne. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
