He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence N. Wilson (Nicholas) and Alfred O. Wilson; his sister Diane Martin (Wilson); his brother-in-law John Martin; his parents-in-law, Mary Grace Ruane and Patrick Ruane; his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Dundee (Ruane) and Jeffrey Phillips; and his niece Debora Morvay (Martin).

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wilson (Ruane); his children, Robert P. Wilson (Katherine) and Molly E. Wilson; his granddaughter Evelyn Wilson; his siblings-in-law, Mary Beth Phillips, Michael, James (Maria), Sean (Kellie) and Patrick (Laurie); and his nieces and nephews, David A. Morvay, Brigitte Oliverio (Anthony), David J. Morvay, Katie, Krista, Sean Phillips, Grace Ruane, Michaela Graham (John), Sarah Tricker (Bryce), Patrick, Colin Ruane, Joseph Dundee and Seamus Ruane.
