He was predeceased by: his father Asa E. Watson Sr.; his wife Carol Watson (Holdsworth); his son Dennis Watson; and his siblings, Carol Fuller, Diane Watson, Bob, John, Davey and Doug Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Slaughter (Thomas) of Coshocton, Teresa Mathias (Michael) of Canton and Tim Watson (Kelly) of Newcomerstown; his grandchildren, Gene Howell (Danielle), Michael Howell (Allysha), Justin Howell, Randy Slaughter, Taylor Slaughter (Nate), Jeremy Tatro (Jen), James Moyer, Jessica Montgomery (Michael), Thomas Tatro (Amanda), Heath Tatro (Sylvina), Ashley Jacque (Kevin), Kamara Watson (Jason), Kelsey Watson and Tyler Watson; and his brother Rick Watson (Rita). He is also survived by 25 great- grandchildren.
