She was predeceased by : her mother Clarice Tate; her stepfather William (O'Tate); her father William Stevens II; and her siblings, Carolyn Newell, William Tate Jr. (Butch), Daniel Tate and William Stevens (Bill).

She is survived by : her brothers, John A. Tate, Mark Stevens and Timothy Tate; and her cousins, Debra Taylor, Donna Williams, Charlene Bussey, Margaret Swanson and Sharon Taylor.
