She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel C. Swain and Mildred Swain (Grimes); her husband Clark "Gordon" Hardesty; and her brothers, Samuel B. Swain and Max A. Swain.
She is survived by: her daughter Christine Howell; her grandchildren, Amber Barringer (Bart), Ashley Coffman (Josh) and Arica Mills (Zachary); her great grandchildren, Brody, Brooks Barringer, Jace, Allie Coffman, Chael and Gatlin Mills; and her niece Carol Ann Kimble.
