With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Stephen Dawson of Coshocton, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Stephen left this world on June 4, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Truman and Doris Evelyn Dawson (Underwood); his great-nephew Drey Meine; and his aunts, Louel Williams (Bill) and Louise Dawson (John "Bud").
He is survived by: his daughter Sherri Matis (Tim) of Fresno, Ohio; his granddaughters, Morgan and Sydney Matis of Kent, Ohio; his brother David Dawson (Patty) of Crawfordville, Florida; his niece Denise Graham (Robbie) of Orient, Ohio; and his stepmother Marilyn Dawson of Coshocton. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (639 Main St, Coshocton, OH 43812). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Steve has requested that donations be made to the Coshocton County Chapter Ohio Geneaological Society, P.O. Box 128, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 and/or the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation, 175 South Third St. STE 700, Columbus, Ohio 43215; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
