He was predeceased by: his parents, Judson Arthur Sr. and Bertha Mae Thompson (Jackson); his wife Charlene R. Thompson (Phillis); his grandson Judson "Juddie" Thompson IV; and his siblings, Ralph "Tommy" Thompson, Lova Snider, Charles Thompson, Lydia Joy Studebaker, Joseph Thompson, Gladys Alexander, Martha Hinkle and Richard "Dick" Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Judy (Bob Willis), Michael Thompson, Susan Thompson, Dan (Karin Thompson), Diane Herron and Judson "Jud" Thompson, III. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren.
