He is survived by: his wife Karen McDowell; his children, James McDowell (Renee) of Covington, Joseph McDowell (Amy) of Celina and Tara Haag (Jason) of Farmersville; his grandchildren, Kirsten Watters (Tom), Emma Brewer (Colton), Meredith, Megan, Nathan McDowell, Tristen Paul, Connor and Aliviah Frizell; and his great grandchildren, Bronson, Barrett, Bowman Watters and Coe James Brewer.
