Linda Gale (Chapman) Panovich Obituary

Linda Gale (Chapman) Panovich, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2026. Born on March 19, 1947, in West Virginia, Linda grew up in LaRue, Ohio, and graduated from Wynford High School. During her school years, she participated in choir, the Girls’ Athletic Association, Future Homemakers of America, and other school activities.

Linda was the loving wife of John “Jack” Panovich, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage before his passing on May 29, 2026. Together, they shared nearly five decades of life, family, and memories.

Strong, spirited, and a bit of a firecracker, Linda had a personality that was entirely her own. She was a steady presence and a source of strength for those closest to her and was, without question, one of the strongest women her family knew.

For her daughter Nicole and granddaughter Kylie, Linda was their constant, someone they could always turn to, depend on, and find strength in. Her influence helped shape the women they became, and the love and support she gave them throughout their lives can never be replaced.

Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought Linda tremendous joy. She found happiness in the simple things, especially beautiful flowers and watching the birds. Cardinals held a special place in her heart, and she loved anything and everything red, her favorite color.

Throughout her life, Linda was loved by many. From her childhood in LaRue to the family she built and the generations that followed, she leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of strength that will live on through those who loved her.

Though saying goodbye to Linda leaves an immeasurable emptiness, her family finds comfort in knowing she is back with her beloved Jack. After 47 years of marriage and only a few short months apart, they are together again. Her family also finds peace in knowing she has been reunited with her parents and so many others she loved and missed throughout the years.

The strength and love Linda gave throughout her life will remain with those who loved her, and her memory will be carried forward for generations to come.
