He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Klopfenstein and Irene Klopfenstein (Metzger). He is survived by: his wife Sandy (Garverick) of Cardington; his children, Leah Belcher (Robert) of Colonial Beach, Virginia, Veronica Schick (Albert) of Colonial Beach and John Klopfenstein (Toni) of Tampa, Florida; and his siblings, John Klopfenstein (Marilyn) of Shelby, Dave Klopfenstein of Columbus, Cathy Meals (Wayne) of Carlisle, Joe Klopfenstein (Judy) of Peacedale, Tom Klopfenstein (Sandy) of Crestline, Zita Miller (Mike) of Crestline and Dan Klopfenstein (Patty) of Mansfield. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Praise Generation Church (6480 Lower Leesville Rd, Crestline, OH 44827).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Bernie's memory to anglingforrelief.org - an organization that serves pediatric cancer patients, and was founded by his grandson.
