Denise Ellen Swanger Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Denise Ellen Swanger of Crestline, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2025 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Denise Ellen Swanger to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her in-laws, William and Lucille Swanger; her brother Darrell Poole; and her sibling's children, Danielle Gregory and Tyler Gregory.
She is survived by: her husband James E. Swanger; her children, Hunter J. Swanger (Paige) and Courtney J. Swanger (Aaron); her granddaughters, Dixie Kay and Goldie Mae; her sisters, Dianne Stumpf (Terry) and Deborah Gregory (Tip); her siblings-in-law, Barbara Poole, Debbie Sallee (Ernie), Lynn Friebel (Ed) and Tim Swanger; and her great-aunts, Karen Dann (Nick) and Donna Anderson (Buster). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Penwell Funeral Home (168 W Main St, Shelby, OH 44875). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
