It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Colcott (Crestline, Ohio), who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Dorothy had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Dorothy may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hout and Martha Hout (Young); and her brothers, Wayne Hout and John Hout Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James Colcott; her sister Ruth Ann Karl; and her nephew Doug Karl.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society in honor of Dorothy.
