He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Herold and Eleanor Herold (Kirsch). He is survived by : his wife Kay Herold (Histed); his pet Star; his children, Clayton Herold (Kitty) of Crestline and Dr. Emily McKeever of Crestline; his granddaughters, Faith Marie Gregory, Chloe Haven Herold, Anna Kay McKeever and Eleanor Grace McKeever; his sister Patricia McKinley of Monroe, MI; his brothers-in-law, Richard McKinley of Monroe, MI, Jeff Histed (Kathy) of Marblehead and Kim Butler Histed of Crestline; his nieces and nephews, Mark Hass (Debbie), Cindy McKinley, Hollister Histed (Kathy), Elise Holt (Bill) and Hannah Bard (Aaron); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler McKinley, Topanga Hass, Nathan Histed, Dominick Martin, Jayden Histed and Henry Holt.
