He is survived by: his wife Molly Gallivan; his children, Janet Chandler (Mark) and Steven Gallivan (Sarah Pate); his grandchildren, Sam Chandler, Sydney Chandler and Connor Gallivan; his daughter-in-law Karen Gallivan; and his brother John Gallivan (Jean Ventris) of Wales.
