The memory of Trudy A. Shafer of Creston, Ohio, who passed away on July 23, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Painter and Violet Painter (Umberger); and her brother Kenneth Painter. She is survived by: her children, John Shafer of Middleburg, Annette Shafer of Wooster and Daniel Shafer of Creston; her siblings, John (Mary) of Elizabethtown, Robert (Sharyn) of Petroleum, Gary Painter (Carol) of Hershey, Ruth Painter of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. and Emily Landis; and her brother-in-law Daniel Landis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chippewa Church of the Brethren (10230 Honeytown Rd, Creston, OH 44217).
