She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Pearl O. Hefner and Grace A. Hefner (Turner); her husband John R. Nixon; her children, Mark A. Nixon (Merry) of Wapak and Jolene A. Waitman (Mark) of Waynesfield; her grandsons, Kyle A. Waitman (Michala) and Brock D. Waitman; her great grandchild Madalyn; and her sister Ruth I. Baker of Wapak. She was also cherished by her family and her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
