He was predeceased by : his mother Lillie Johnson (Edsel); his wife Sharon Kay Johnson (Hanthorn); his children, Gregory Eugene Johnson, Kevin Wayne Johnson, Nancy Kay Johnson and Lawrence Johnson Jr.; and his siblings, Jaley Rose, Arch Johnson, Herbert Johnson, Margaret Johnson, Leone Johnson, Kash Johnson, Charles Johnson and Garland Johnson.
He is survived by : his father Chester Johnson; his sons, Rick Lee Johnson (Brenda) of Lima, OH, John Edward Johnson of Lima, OH and Daniel A. Johnson of Lima, OH; and his daughters-in-law, Charlotte Johnson of Cridersville, OH and Kimberly Johnson of Lima, OH.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
