He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Newlon (Jones); his grandson Kyle; his brothers, Marlon "Pete" Newlon and Carl "Buck" Newlon; and his parents, Carl Sr. Newlon and Elizabeth Newlon (Harris).
He is survived by: his children, Glena Latier (Mike), Brenda Smith (Tony), Scott Newlon and Keith Newlon (Luann); and his grandchildren, Stephen Neff, Melissa Hosey (Terry), Amy King (Glenn), Chad Cramer (Beth), Chasity Cramer, Alissa Newlon, Heather Clouston (Keith) and Holly Eltringham (Nick). He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
