He was predeceased by: his father Wesley Sr. Menter; his niece Stormy DeJohn; and his friend Bill Belegrin. He is survived by: his mother Marlene Menter (Kine); his children, Josh Menter and Katie Menter; his siblings, Jeff Menter (Ann), Judy Pilewski (Jim), Wesley Jr. "Larry" Menter (Chris), Laurie Carter (Charles), Cindy Treece (Henry) and Vickie Menter; the mother of his children Julie Zemnicki; and his friends, Bob Kettinger, Marty Gedert and Tim Sheehan. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews as well as 35 great-nieces and nephews.
