She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Troyer and Edna Troyer (Schlabach); her husband LeRoy J. Kandel; her son Buford Kandel; and her siblings, Katie Alice, Adin, Marvin and Alvin Troyer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Corene Kandel (Dustin Shilling) of Rittman and Danelle Young (John) of Alma, AR; her grandchildren, Nikole Poole (Richard), Ashley Hege (Alex), Diedra Mickle (Brandon), Kaitlyn Kowiki (Andrew), Wyatt Jasper, Alexis Glessner, Tristan Ramsey (Cortney) and Shelby Jones (Zach); her siblings, Susie Schlabach (late Ray), Dorothy Slabaugh (late Bill), Verna Headings (Merle), Esther Beachy (late Marvin), Emma Keim (late Ray), Miriam Russell (Don) and Ralph Troyer (Velma); Sheri Kandel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Formerly Pleasant View Mennonite Church (14795 Wooster St NW, North Lawrence, OH 44666). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
