He was predeceased by: his parents, James Graves and Elizabeth Graves (Rowe); his children, Ricky Brewer, Terry Lee Graves and Kathy Graves; and his former wife Anna Lee Graves (Brewer).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Graves (Vess) of Coshocton; and his daughters, Diana Baker (Kevin) of Mt. Vernon, Beth McPhillen (Brent) of Dresden and Becky Graves of Columbus. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
