Alexis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Alexis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Cooper and Ethel Cooper; and her shadow Teddy. She is survived by: her children, Lori (Penny) and Matt (Jenny); her grandchildren, Rachael (Andrew), Max and Parker; and her husband David Shurte.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, OH 45459). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
