She was predeceased by: her parents, Flem Stephens and Edith Stephens; her husband Hiram Gwin; and her brothers, Herthel Stephens, Clonia Stephens and Noah Stephens.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Heyse (Paul), Linda Elrod (Tom), Gail Hammons (Mac), Joyce Sollenberger (Jack) and Cheryl Hammons (Darrell); and her grandchildren, Heidi Heyse, Brian Elrod, Jason Elrod, Chanda Williams, Alicia King, Nick Hammons and Kelsey Jast. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews.
