She was predeceased by: her parents, August Dirksen and Henrietta Dirksen (Stucke); and her brothers, Donald, Paul and Carl Dirksen.
She is survived by: her husband John Gels (Jack); her daughters, Lisa (James Middleton), Jennifer (Thomas Mazzotta) and Angela (Todd Fowler); her sisters-in-law, Geri Dirksen and Mary Dirksen; and her grandchildren, Carly, Benjamin, Brooke, Ryan and Colin. She is also survived by her extended family & many good friends.
