It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara D. Smith of Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Fiste and Gertrude Fiste; her husband Donald L. Smith; her daughter Melody Rosemond; and her brother Floyd Fiste Jr..
She is survived by: her grandson Jessie Taylor Mullins; her great grandchild Aaron Tarrent Jr.; her children, Richard Tames (Kathy Nesser), Sharlyn Walker, Karilyn Tames, Justin Smith, Brandon Smith (Shauna), Treva, Teresa, Tonya, Donald Jr. and Deion; and her siblings, Norma Parrish, Sharon Fowler, Sandy Hobbs (Johnny) and Robert Fiste. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
