It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry W. Gillis (Dayton, Ohio), who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Gillis (Damron) and James A. Gillis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gillis (Shroyer); his children, Angela Keeton (Mark), Charles Rosener, Jeremy Pierce, Krista Rosener, Sara Rosener (Preston), Casandra Rambo (James) and Jacob Gillis; his siblings, Jay Gillis (Lucretia) and Tammy Cloyes; and his children, Jason Sanford and Rebecca Shiverdecker. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
